DEATH IS NOT AND END OF LIFE, IT IS START OF A NEW JOURNEY
New Delhi: It’s a matter of great grief that veteran journalist and social activist Sai Prasan has left this world. He died in Nagpur, Maharashtra on Sunday afternoon while travelling to Rourkela by Geetanjali Superfast Express.
Sai had worked for various newspapers and was equally active on the social front. He always worked for the poorer section of the society, fought for them and highlighted their voice through his powerful writing. He formed Janata Vikas Manch, a civil society forum in 2011 and organized various activities to promote civil society actions in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Before his death, he had organized a historical padyatra Mee Votu – Mee Satta (Your Vote – Your Govt) during April 2014 which encompassed all the 13 districts of recent Andhra Pradesh.
Sai Prasannan had done exemplary reporting during the Kandhmal riots in Odisha. His reports were first hand truthful.
He was partner in the movement of Poor Christian Liberation Movement and was always supportive to our cause. He was a great humanist and friend of friends. Entire PCLM family prays the almighty God to give peace to his soul. Our hearts are with his family in the time of grief.
